Meet the Schmitts!!

Christopher Ly- enjoys working out and hanging with his kids and wife in his free time. His favorite thing to eat is Tacos or spaghetti . Chris is very supportive of most anything his wife dreams up (including living in a RV!) He even once ran a Marathon with out training to prove he could do it. (and he finished 6th place in his age group!) Chris's pet peeves are clutter, "freaking out" over little things and bad drivers. He is the best dad and husband in the whole world! Chris grew up in Orlando, FL. He graduated in 1997 from Luther High School. He joined the Navy in February 2000. He is currently a submarine officer on the USS Chicago stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI.

Laura Jean: She holds many job positions including but not limited too: Animal Caretaker, Executive Chef, Financial Manager, Food/Beverage Service Worker, Nurse, Childcare Specialist, Housekeeper, Bus Driver, Nutritionist, Recreational Manager and part time Psychologist. Her day is filled with running the Schmitt Family. She loves her position and wouldn't change anything about it. In her Free time Laura enjoys running (See Her Running log and Race page on the Right!) reading, cooking and just having fun with the kids. Laura would like to one day write a book when she grows up, maybe about all the Schmitt Adventures! Laura grew up a farm girl in Edmore, Michigan and graduated from Montabella High School in 1997. She was in the Army National Gaurd for two years and joined the Navy in 1999- that's where she met the man of her dreams! Chris and Laura were married in 2001.

Joseph Gregory: Joey was born on March 19, 2003 and is a Pisces. He is currently in 1st grade, and does very well in school. He is a very smart at math and reading. He says he wants to be a race car driver when he grows up. Joey loves planes, cars,and his DS.

Joey's favorite thing for lunch is a Tuna fish sandwich and tomatoes. Joey also loves salad. His favorite color used to be blue but it is now red. Joey enjoys playing with other boys (he has two sisters so any time he can run around with a pack of boys he is happy!) and swimming. Since moving to Hawaii he loves using his boogie board on the beach.

Joey plays very well with his sisters and they both love him very much. Joey is a HUGE help to his mom and dad and a great big brother.

Sophia Kimberlie: The Diva was born on September 6th, 2004, making her a Virgo. She loves princesses, jewelry, dresses and make-up. Sophie has blond hair (that she is growing long) and blue eyes. She is often shy at first but once she feels comfortable she is talkative and out-going. Her best friend is Joey. She wants to be a Cheer-Leader or a Gymnast when she grows up.

Sophia is almost done with Kindergarten- at first she was scared to go but now she loves her teacher and has made friends.
Her Favorite thing to eat for lunch is a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich with Chocolate Milk, or Tacos. Sophia HATES vegetables and many battles are at dinner time when Mommy tries to make her eat anything green, although she recently has started to like raw broccoli.

Sophia can often be found in front of the mirror combing her beautiful blond hair. She also loves swimming, riding her scooter and anything that has to do with arts and crafts.

Evangeline Ava is the baby of the family. (until September gets here!) She was born on September 9th, 2006 making her a Virgo. Her nickname is "Curly Top" given to her by Papa Perkins because she...well, I will let you figure that one out.
Vangie is the comedian of the family, always doing silly things and making us laugh. She loves playing with her siblings toys and getting into their things. Her favorite things to eat are cheese slices and bacon. She will also do ANYTHING for a gum-ball or chocolate, even climb the pantry shelves. She is the dare-devil of the family, often climbing onto tall counters and leaping off couches and foot stools. Evangelines favorite movie is Pocohontus and she is currently growing her hair long like her sister. She rides her scooter and loves going to the pool.

Stella Sprinkles- Stella is our Dog. She is a mix of Jack Russel and Chihuahua. We adopted her from the Animal Shelter in October 2008. Stella is VERY sweet with the kids and lets them carry her around, dress her in doll clothes and put make-up on her. I will admitt the first few months we had her I was THIS CLOSE to selling her on Craigs List, but since she is closing in on 2 years old she has mellow out A LOT and has really turned into a good dog. She will be a part of our family the rest of her life.
