A new family Addition.... Please welcome to our family STELLA SPRINKLES
SCHMITT. She is a 12 week old Jack Russell Terrier/ Chihuahua Mix - or Jack-Chi. We adopted her from a pet adoption
place here in Goose Creek. She is 6 lbs and so cute and loving. She plays with the kids and snuggles on our lap. We decided
a couple weeks ago that we would really love to adopt a puppy. It has been 5 months since Lucy has passed away and we will
always miss our Lucy, but we also knew we had a lot of Love and wanted to give another puppy a home. Stella caught our eye
the minute we saw her in her little cage. She was so tiny and cute and needed a nice warm home! We left her in the shelter
and went home to think it over- we wanted to make sure and get the right dog for our family because we know this dog will
be with us for many years. That night we knew we wanted her. The next day we went back to the shelter at 4:30pm and thankfully
she was still there! We filled out the paperwork and brought her home. Stella is right at home
here! The kids love her and so do Chris and I. In other news.... Joey had an abscessed molar that
needed to be pulled out a couple weeks ago..... he was very brave and strong and on the upside it is now much easier to floss
his back teeth!

Big Girl PantiesToday is a big day for Evangeline- she received her very first pair of big girl panties. She has not been able to try them
on because she is napping, but once she wakes up she will be trying them on and giving them a go. Your guess is as good as
mine as to how well she is going to do potty training- sometimes she will tell me she has to go and I will put her on the
toilet and she will go- mostly she is still very comfortable with her diaper. Chris and I are ready to have no more diapers
to buy!

The Vangie Virus Vangie was really sick this past week! She had fever, some vomiting for a couple days and just generally
acted like she felt really bad! On the third day of her illness I took her to the medical clinic. She was very dehydrated
and ended up needing an IV to get some fluids into her. It was horrible when they placed the IV in her arm- she screamed and
screamed. And THEN they gave her a catheter to get some urine to test- that was even more unpleasant. They had to attempt
the catheter twice since the first time she was wiggling too much- they they called in some more people to hold her down.
This was basically the worst experience EVER for me to go through- I felt so bad for her and just wanted to yell at them all
to STOP! and pick her up and run out of the building. Sophie, Vangie and I were at medical for about 3 hours while Vangie
got hydrated. Sophie was an angel and waited patiently with me- I could tell that she was also very concerned about Evangeline.
Thankfully Vangie is feeling much better now and the next time she gets ill we will make sure she drinks enough fluids
so she never gets dehydrated again! Tropical Storm Hanna blew through the other night, don't
worry we are still here! I guess it rained and the winds were up to 40 mph. Honestly these base houses are built so well you
can't even tell it's raining unless you open the door or window. Schools were let out early so everyone enjoyed a
1/2 day so that was nice. Chris's work building was even closed so he couldn't go to work if he wanted too!
Today is a Family Fun Fair at our church at around 3pm. Chris and I are planning on taking the kids. I guess they are going
to have a bounce house, pony rides and face painting so I think the kids will have a blast. I will post pics of it when we
get home.
