Sister Love
Sophia and Vangie crawled into a basket the other day and pretended they were in a boat. It was really cute. Then they gave
each other kisses and hugs- sometimes they play really well and get along great! (and sometimes.... not so much).
Today was a busy day, we went for a 2 hour bike ride around the base this morning- the weather was overcast and a little cooler
so it was very nice. This afternoon we went to the Charleston Children's museum. The kids had a great time, Chris and
I are now exhausted. Its funny how doing "kid" things can really wear you out!
Last night was "Date Night" for me and Chris. Our babysitter (a wonderful teenage girl who just moved in a
couple weeks ago) comes over and babysits the kids on Fridays from 5pm-9pm. Last night Chris and I found a Vietnamese restaurant
that looked a bit scary but the food was really great! We havn't had Vietnamese since we moved from Orlando so it was
a lot of fun. Then we walked around the bookstore. It is really nice getting out once a week without all the kids. I think
our weekly Date night is a tradition we will keep forever!

Vangies big girl bed.....
Evangeline slept for the first time in her "big girl bed" this past weekend. She did really great, except for getting
up at 6am and crawling into Mommy and Daddy's bed! So, she is restricted from sleeping in the Big Girl bed except on the
weekends. Sophie got a new "Disney Princess" bedroom set. A beautiful new bed, dresser, night
stand and heart shaped mirror. Chris and I have been wanting to buy her bedroom furniture for a while, and since Chris sold
his motorcycle we thought this would be the perfect time. Sophie really likes it, she is just like a little princess. The kids have also been started on a "responsibility chart". They each have responsibilities that
they need to get done through the day, and at the end of the day we go through it and they get the items marked off that they
have accomplished. They really like accomplishing their duties and making off their progress. For instance, Vangie's responsibilities
include throwing her dirty diapers in the trash, putting her shoes away and sharing her toys. Sophie needs to make her bed,
put her clothes away and put her dishes in the sink after meals. Joey's responsibilities get a little more involved because
he is, after all, the oldest- he helps me set and clear the table, he helps me fold laundry and he empties the trash cans
around the house every night. We have been doing it for a few days and already the kids seem more responsible.

We're Baaa-aaack!
I know, I know... I have not posted to this blog in such a long time! A lot has happened and we have been very busy! The kids
and I traveled to Michigan to visit family and celebrate the 4th of July. We were gone for over 3 weeks! Chris stayed home
in Goose Creek and continued studying and going to work. We had a great time in Michigan. The kids
were excited to see their cousins, they swam, rode their bikes, had sleepovers, camped at Perkins pond, saw fireworks, ate
ice-cream and had smores by the bonfire. Whew! It was a busy 3 weeks. We had a great time but are very glad
to behome agin. The kids really missed their Daddy and he missed us too! I am posting new pics on the NEW PICS page,
so chek them out!
